Customers need to know the experience of others

Bioderma products are high quality and developed for specific skin types. However, potential customers need to be sure that the products will work for their skin type. For this reason, reviews are for them and recommendations from existing customers are important. Lack of reviews is a barrier to purchase.

Reviews are particularly important for our client's target groups. For example, customers with atopic eczema have very sensitive skin and are used to being sceptical about any products. They need to be sure that the product is good, of good quality and that it will be effective without irritating their skin. Honestly written reviews are therefore a good way for them to an invaluable source of information and a decisive factor in the purchase. This is especially true for new products on the market that customers have no experience with and therefore rely on recommendations from others with the same skin problems.

Why did Bioderma choose Testuj.to?

Our client was used to working with their partners and getting reviews through them and their contacts. This was both with influencers and with large chains or stores. They were using different customer packages to get feedback through.

With the help of Testuj.to, Bioderma gained access to direct feedback with a high return on investment. Guaranteed 95% return on reviews was one of the reasons the brand decided to work with us. In addition, the 4-product campaign was a good value for money and appealing to them.  

The client knew what he needed from us

The client knew exactly what they needed from us, and therefore our proposed campaign was able to meet all the necessary objectives. The main objective was to collect reviews, to introduce new products to potential customers and help them decide if they are suitable for their needs.

The second goal of our client was secondary support for the existing launch campaign. The more ways customers are informed about products and the more directions they learn about products, the better.  

The client also decided to take the opportunity, through our questionnaires, to get to know the people who are interested in the products in more depth. 

Our client's main concern was obtaining relevant reviews from testers representing the right target group. This is particularly the case for the acne product being tested. It was important that those interested in testing did not lie about their skin condition and the severity of their acne during the application process. If they did not have acne, there was a risk that the product would not be suitable for them and, in turn, their skin condition would worsen. Another concern was the level of honesty of the reviews. The client wanted honest, unembellished reviews with pros and cons. Free products sometimes tend to encourage underwhelming reviews that are not actually helpful. We were also able to eliminate this with questions in the intake questionnaire.  

What did the campaign bring?

In the campaign we focused on four products - Bioderma Hydrabio Hyalu+ Serum 30 ml, Bioderma Sensibio Defensive Serum 30 ml, Bioderma Sébium Serum 30 ml and Bioderma Sébium Kerato+ 30 ml.

4,666 people have signed up to test these products by completing entry questionnaires. A total of 120 testers took part in the campaign and published 297 reviews on three different platforms. The products have been awarded average rating 4,6 and your friends and acquaintances would was recommended by 94% of testers. 

In addition to the high return on reviews, our client also appreciated that most of the reviews were positive and that the negative ones provided valuable information and experience. The negative reviews were consistent with what the client knew about the problem areas or expressed a subjective opinion that the client can work with going forward.

The information from the initial questionnaires is also useful for the client, including information about products and brands that are commonly used by their target groups.
